Hyatt Hotels retires certain class B common shares

Hyatt Hotels Corp. filed a certificate of retirement Dec. 21 to retire 1,696,476 shares of class B common stock.

The shares were converted into class A common shares in connection with the sale of 1,696,476 class B common shares into the public market. Effective upon filing, the certificate of retirement amended the company's certificate of incorporation to reduce the company's authorized capital shares by the same number of shares.

Hyatt's authorized shares now total 1,432,857,621, comprising 1 billion class A shares, 422,857,621 class B shares and 10 million preferred shares.
