Seria Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 was ¥19.56 per share, a decrease of 6.8% from ¥20.98 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥1.48 billion, a decrease of 6.8% from ¥1.59 billion in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin dropped to 5.0% from 5.7% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed 5.4% on an annual basis to ¥29.42 billion from ¥27.92 billion, and total operating expenses increased 6.5% from the prior-year period to ¥27.03 billion from ¥25.38 billion.
Reported net income totaled ¥1.58 billion, or ¥20.86 per share, compared to ¥1.60 billion, or ¥21.06 per share, in the prior-year period.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥87.74 per share, a gain from ¥84.56 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥6.65 billion, a rise from ¥6.41 billion in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue rose 8.2% from the prior-year period to ¥118.34 billion from ¥109.39 billion, and total operating expenses grew 8.7% on an annual basis to ¥107.81 billion from ¥99.19 billion.
The company said reported net income increased 8.5% on an annual basis to ¥6.72 billion, or ¥88.61 per share, in the full year, from ¥6.19 billion, or ¥81.67 per share.
