British Land, GIC land planning consent for mixed-use London project

British LandCo. Plc and GIC received planning consent for their proposedmixed-use scheme in the City of London, PropertyWeek reported.

Located at 2 and 3 Finsbury Avenue Square, the development willspan 550,000 square feet, and it will include office, retail, restaurant andconference space, the Oct. 4 report said.

Plans for the scheme were unveiled in December 2015, and the application wassubmitted in March despite a heritage group's campaign to prevent thedemolition of an existing building on the site.
