Investor group to vote for Centrue Financial/Midland States Bancorp deal

Capital Z Partners Centrue AIV LP and related investment vehicles agreed to vote in favor of the pending deal between Ottawa, Ill.-based Centrue Financial Corp. and Effingham, Ill.-based Midland States Bancorp Inc.

In a Schedule 13-D, Capital Z Partners disclosed that it beneficially owns 1,533,333 voting shares, or a 23.5% stake, in Centrue Financial, based on 6,513,694 shares as of Nov. 9, 2016. The company said in a Jan. 26 filing that it had agreed to vote its shares in favor of the proposed merger.

The group previously disclosed a 23.6% stake, or 1,533,333 voting shares, based on 6,485,218 shares as of Aug. 31, 2015.
