Customers Bancorp director dies

John Miller, a director of Wyomissing, Pa.-based since 2010, diedon April 25.

Miller, who was 69, was a former partner and vice chairman atKPMG LLP, according to a recent proxy filing.

On April 27, the company appointed Rick Burkey to fill the boardvacancy. Burkey, 70, has served as a director of Customers Bank since 2011. He is the chairman and CEO ofBurkey Construction Co.

In addition, the board appointed Steven Zuckerman, a currentdirector of the company, to fill the vacancy left on the audit committee followingMiller's death.

The board also determined that T. Lawrence Way, a current directorof the company and the current chairman of the audit committee, meets the criteriato serve as the audit committee financial expert.
