German harmonized annual inflation steady in July

German consumer prices are expected to have risen 2.1% year over year on EU-harmonized terms in July, the same pace of annual increase as in June, provisional data from the Federal Statistical Office showed.

Month over month, consumer prices edged up 0.4% on a harmonized basis.

The non-harmonized inflation rate was at 2.0% year over year in July and at 0.3% in monthly terms.

The statistics office will release the final data for July on Aug. 14.
