James Hallam Ltd.-backed insurance firm Blackford Group Ltd. has acquired the Edinburgh customer book of insurance broker T L Dallas & Co. Ltd.

The book has a collective premium value of more than £3 million. The new portfolio of around 100 clients will be managed by a new team of brokers, including Stephen Randall, Monika Hübsch, Alan Grant and Laura Scougall, who will be joining the company's Edinburgh location.

Glasgow-based Blackford specializes in commercial risk.
