Urban Edge Properties agreed to sell 6,250,000 common shares to Cohen & Steers Capital Management Inc. for $155 million in gross proceeds.

The company plans to use the net proceeds for development and redevelopment projects, future acquisitions and general corporate purposes.

The share sale is expected to be settled on or about Aug. 9.
