Japan bank lending growth slowed 3.0% to ¥516.810 trillion year over year in September compared to 3.2% growth in August, preliminary data from the Bank of Japan showed Oct. 12.
Excluding shinkin banks, or credit unions, lending growth also slowed to 3.0% to ¥449.389 trillion in September compared to a 3.2% increase in August.
Lending from shinkin banks grew 2.8% to ¥67.421 trillion in September compared to the revised 2.7% increase in August.
