BTIG LLC hired Gil Ottensoser as a managing director to lead the company's banking and capital markets effort focused on special-purpose acquisition companies. Ottensoser most recently worked with ShoreBridge Capital Partners LLC.

May 25

An adviser team managing $480 million in client assets has left UBS Financial Services Inc. to form the Palm Avenue Wealth Advisory Group of Raymond James, InvestmentNews of New York reported. The team, comprising Dean Dancer, Thomas Goelz, Steven Grossman and Joe Malave, registered with Raymond James & Associates Inc. in May, according to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority's BrokerCheck website.

Barclays PLC named Todd Sandoz head of equities for the Americas. He previously worked with Nomura International PLC.

An adviser team managing $186 million in client assets at Wells Fargo Clearing Services LLC in Frontenac, Mo., has left to form an independent advisory firm called Undivided Wealth Management, the InvestmentNews of New York reported. The team's St. Louis-based advisory firm is affiliated with Kestra Financial Inc., according to the report.

JPMorgan Chase & Co. appointed investment bankers Jonathan Cox and Michael Johnson to its energy group, Bloomberg News reported. Cox will serve as global co-head of oil and gas investment banking and co-head of JPMorgan's office in Houston, while Johnson will serve as a vice chairman of investment banking. Both Cox and Johnson come from Morgan Stanley.

Probitas Partners LP promoted Caryn Feinberg and Ray Tsao as managing directors on the company's project management team, while Haakon Gresvig was promoted as managing director on the relationship management team. Additionally, John Caley joined the company as managing director of direct real estate from Grubb & Ellis Co.
