Citigroup Inc.proposed to issue and sell debt securities for an aggregate of $2.5 billion in principal,according to two Form 8-Ks filed March 30.
The company issued 2.700% senior notes due 2021 amounting to$1.50 billion in aggregate, at a public price of 99.856% of the principal amount,plus accrued interest, if any, from March 30. The notes carry an annual interestrate of 2.700%, due March 30 and Sept. 30, beginning Sept. 30, 2016.
In addition, Citi issued and sold an aggregate of $1.00 billionof its senior floating rate notes due 2021. The notes carry an interest rate equalto three-month LIBOR plus 138 basis points per annum. Citi will pay the interestquarterly on March 30, June 30, Sept. 30 and Dec. 30, commencing June 30, 2016.
The offerings closed March 30. The debt securities will matureMarch 30, 2021.
