Car dealer buys condo at Vornado's NYC tower for $38.1M

Luxury car dealer Michael Cantanucci bought a 4,814-square-foot condo at the 220 Central Park South building owned by Vornado Realty Trust in New York City for $38.1 million, The Real Deal reported, citing property records.

The four-bedroom condo spans the 54th and 55th floors of the tower. Cantanucci, who owns New Country Motor Car Group, bought the property through an entity called MKC Properties.

The transaction is the latest in a string of high-profile sales at the tower. Hedge fund Citadel founder Ken Griffin and musician Sting each purchased a penthouse at the property earlier in 2019.

Cantanucci and his wife could not be reached for comment, according to the publication.
