Farmers Insurance expects more than $250M in losses from Texas storms

Farmers Insurance said April 4 that it estimates more than $250million in losses resulting from two severe weather systems that caused damage tohomes and vehicles in the week of March 28 in Texas' Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Farmers reported more than 22,000 claims filed already. It anticipatesanother 16,000 claims as a result of the storms.

Farmers InsuranceExchange is the largest of the three primary insurers that make up FarmersInsurance.
