Amazon.com Inc. will invest $150 million in its fourth Michigan fulfillment center, Michigan Economic Development Corp. said.
The Michigan Strategic Fund approved a $4 million grant for Amazon to support its latest investment in the state.
The 100-acre site will be in Gaines Township and is expected to create 1,000 full-time jobs.
Amazon will lease the facility on land owned by furniture maker Steelcase Inc., while a third-party developer will build the center.
The new center brings Amazon's total private investment in the state to $420 million, with the commitment to generate 4,925 jobs.
