PT Mahaka Media Tbk said its normalized net income for the first quarter was a loss of 1.55 rupiah per share, compared with a loss of 1.31 rupiah per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of 4.28 billion rupiah, compared with a loss of 3.60 billion rupiah in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin declined to negative 7.6% from negative 5.2% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue decreased 18.4% year over year to 56.38 billion rupiah from 69.08 billion rupiah, and total operating expenses declined 12.4% year over year to 65.34 billion rupiah from 74.58 billion rupiah.
Reported net income totaled a loss of 7.04 billion rupiah, or a loss of 2.55 rupiah per share, compared to a loss of 3.91 billion rupiah, or a loss of 1.42 rupiah per share, in the prior-year period.
As of May 2, US$1 was equivalent to 13,157.50 rupiah.
