Report: Aramco meets production target after drone attacks

Saudi Arabian Oil Co., or Aramco, has met its target oil production capacity following the Sept. 14 drone attacks on its Abqaiq plant and the Khurais field, Reuters reported Sept. 30, citing trading arm CEO Ibrahim Al-Buainain.

Capacity was restored Sept. 25, the CEO said.

Saudi Arabia had restored a capacity of 11.3 million barrels per day ahead of schedule after the attacks and aimed to restore its full capacity to 12 million bbl/d after two months.

The Abqaiq plant is considered to be the biggest oil processing center in the world.

The attack reduced about 5.7 million bbl/d of Saudi Arabia's crude oil production, or about 5% of the world's total output.
