Francesca's Holdings fiscal Q3 profit falls YOY

Francesca's Holdings Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Oct. 31 amounted to 16 cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 16 cents per share.

EPS decreased year over year from 17 cents.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was $6.9 million, a decrease from $7.1 million in the third quarter ended Nov. 1, 2014.

The normalized profit margin declined to 6.6% from 8.1% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew 19.1% on an annual basis to $103.7 million from $87.1 million, and total operating expenses rose 22.3% year over year to $92.6 million from $75.7 million.

Reported net income decreased 6.2% on an annual basis to $6.8 million, or 16 cents per share, from $7.2 million, or 17 cents per share.
