Sylogist Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended Dec. 31, 2015, was C$1.2 million, a rise from C$23,750 in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.
The normalized profit margin rose to 13.6% from 0.4% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue grew 36.6% year over year to C$8.4 million from C$6.1 million, and total operating expenses rose year over year to C$6.5 million from C$6.3 million.
Reported net income totaled C$1.5 million, or 6 cents per share, compared to a loss of C$252,660, or a loss of 1 cents per share, in the prior-year period.
