TRONC leads short interest gainers in 2nd half of June

TRONCINC. saw the biggest growth in short interest among media andentertainment companies measured by SNL Kagan in the second half of June.

The Chicago-based firm's short interest climbed 412 basispoints between June 15 and June 30 to 4.12% of outstanding shares. TRONC,previously known asTribune Publishing Co., effected the name change on June 17.

Turning to the list of short interest decliners,EVINE Live Inc. tookthe lead, its short interest position dropping 310 basis points to 1.31% ofoutstanding shares.

Outerwall Inc. held its position as the most heavily shorted media andentertainment stock, with short interest on 45.33% of outstanding shares as ofJune 30.
