Columbia Banking ups regular dividend, declares special dividend

Tacoma,Wash.-based Columbia BankingSystem Inc. on April 27 announced that a quarterly cash dividend of19 cents per common share, and per-common share equivalent for holders ofpreferred stock, will be paid May 25 to shareholders of record as of the closeof business May 11.

This is a6% increase from the 18-centregular cash dividend paid during the first quarter.

In addition,the board declared a special cash dividend of 18 cents per common share, andper-common share equivalent for holders of preferred stock. It is also payableMay 25 to shareholders of record as of May 11.
