American Securities purchases truck and trailer parts manufacturer FleetPride

American Securities LLC bought Texas-based truck and trailer parts provider FleetPride Inc. from TPG Capital Management LP.

The transaction, terms of which were not disclosed, will see TPG Capital exit FleetPride, which it acquired in November 2012.

American Securities invests in companies based in North America with yearly revenues of $200 million to $2 billion.

Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP and Vinson & Elkins LLP were legal advisers to American Securities and FleetPride, respectively. Barclays was financial adviser to FleetPride.
