Sky Global Partners energizes natural gas-fired facility in Texas

Sky Global PartnersLLC's namesake natural-gas fired power plant, the 51-MW facility in ColoradoCounty, Texas, has been plugged in.

The facility will now begin selling peaking power generationto the San Bernard Electric CooperativeInc. which supplies electricity to more than 18,000 members.

Prudential Capital Group and The Lincoln National Life InsuranceCo. helped finance the project.

The facility is intended to ensure the stability of the grid by offsetting the volatility of wind and solar resources.
