Henry Schein acquires dental software provider

Henry Schein Inc. acquired dental software provider Lighthouse 360 from Jacksonville, Fla.-based Web.com Group Inc., an online marketing company.

The healthcare distributor, which made the deal through its Henry Schein One joint venture, did not disclose financial details of the deal.

Sugar Hill, Ga.-based Lighthouse 360 offers dental practice management and patient communication software that automates dentists' daily consumer interactions and office routines such as appointment reminders. Lighthouse 360 complements Henry Schein One's strategy to advance integrated technology platforms to improve dental practice management, Henry Schein said.

Henry Schein One is a joint venture between Melville, N.Y.-based Henry Schein and El Segundo, Calif.-based Internet Brands Inc., a web solutions company.

Lighthouse 360, which serves more than 11,000 dental practices, booked sales of about $50 million in 2018. Henry Schein expects that Lighthouse 360 will be neutral to the company's 2019 EPS and accretive thereafter.
