Phoenix Group Holdings said Dec. 13 that it received approval from the U.K. Financial Conduct Authority for its proposed acquisition of Deutsche Bank AG's Abbey Life U.K. insurance business.

Completion of the transaction is expected to take place Dec. 30.

The Abbey Life business comprises Abbey Life Assurance Co. Ltd., Abbey Life Trustee Services Ltd. and Abbey Life Trust Securities Ltd.
