Executive, director moves through Oct. 19

S&P Global Market Intelligence presents a weekly rundown of recent board and executive changes in the metals and mining industry. The moves are listed in chronological order.

Oct. 15

Vanadium One Energy Corp. named Martin Walter as CEO and a director, effective immediately, replacing John Priestner as CEO. Priestner moved to the role of COO, and Roger Dahn retired as a director but will remain with the company as a member of a newly formed advisory council.

Neha Dhuru took a seat on Sudal Industries Ltd.'s board as an independent nonexecutive director.

Petropavlovsk PLC added James Cameron and Damien Hackett as independent nonexecutive directors, effective immediately.

Anthony James succeeded nonexecutive director Oliver Cairns on Galena Mining Ltd.'s board.

Peninsula Energy Ltd. director Evgenij Iorich stepped down to focus on other business interests.

New Age Exploration Ltd. Managing Director Gary Fietz and nonexecutive director Michael Amundsen resigned from their respective posts. Neil Hutchison, Stephen Layton and Joshua Wellisch were appointed as nonexecutive directors to fill the vacancies, and Fietz will remain with the company for three months as a consultant.

David Mendelawitz agreed to join IndiOre Ltd. as managing director and CEO, effective immediately.

Galantas Gold Corp. named Róisín Ann Magee to its board as a director, effective immediately.

Morgan Barron joined Indiana Resources Ltd. as a nonexecutive director, replacing Derek Fisher, who resigned to focus on other business interests.

Myles Fang resigned as acting CEO of Eastern Iron Ltd. as part of the company's cash conservation strategy. Fang will remain a nonexecutive director until the company's annual general meeting.

North Mining Shares Co. Ltd. named Zhao Jian as an executive director to replace Xu Zi Jing, who resigned to pursue other business engagements.

Greatland Gold PLC appointed Clive Latcham as a nonexecutive director, effective immediately.

Nicholas Shakesby was appointed the vice president of operations to oversee Endeavour Silver Corp.'s underground mining operations in Mexico.

Jaxon Mining Inc. tapped John King Burns, its chairman and lead director, to also serve as CEO after Jason Cubitt resigned as president, CEO and a director.

Dennis Milburn, Donald Willoughby and Edward Robinson stepped down as directors of Getty Copper Inc., effective Oct. 2.

Oct. 16

Andrew Beigel stepped down as a director of Consolidated Zinc Ltd. but will continue as company secretary.

Wade Evans agreed to join the Bora Bora Resources Ltd. board as a nonexecutive director.

Sonoro Metals Corp. appointed John Darch as a director and executive chairman.

David Eaton was added to Providence Gold Mines Inc.'s board as a director.

David Black resigned as a director of Zincore Metals Inc., and CFO Adam Ho filled the vacancy.

Oct. 17

Chris Anderson resigned as a nonexecutive director of Renascor Resources Ltd., effective immediately. Exploration director Geoff McConachy will transition from executive director to nonexecutive director at the beginning of 2019.

Highlands Pacific Ltd. named Ernie Gangloff as a nonexecutive director to replace Bart Philemon, who retired.

Renaud Adams left his post as a director of Ascendant Resources Inc. following his recent appointment as president and CEO of New Gold Inc.

Steel Dynamics Inc. appointed Sheree Bargabos and Steven Sonnenberg as independent directors.

PJSC PhosAgro named Mikhail Rybnikov as first deputy CEO.

Oct. 18

Anson Resources Ltd. tapped Managing Director Bruce Richardson to serve as executive chairman and CEO after former Chairman Bruce MacLeod died. Michael van Uffelen was named a nonexecutive director.

Ashanti Gold Corp. named Anastasia Levashova to its board as a director.

Michael Pickholz joined Nevada Clean Magnesium Inc.'s board as a director.

Blackrock Gold Corp. named Kevin Strong as its new CFO to replace Paul Kania.

Frank Mariage was selected to join Val-d'Or Mining Corp.'s board as a director.

Pegasus Metals Ltd. added Bronwyn Barnes and Grant Osborne to its board of directors, effective Oct. 31, replacing Michael Fotios and Alan Still.

Oct. 19

James Croser resigned as a director of Resources & Energy Group Ltd., effective Oct. 16.

New Dimension Resources Ltd. appointed Sharon Cooper as CFO to replace Wayne Johnstone, who retired but will serve the company as a consultant.

Gary Arca stepped down as CFO and a director of Providence Gold Mines. President and CEO Ron Coombes will take over as CFO in the interim.

Asian Mineral Resources Ltd. appointed Norm Yurik to its board as a director.
