S&P Global Ratings on June 2 affirmed its B long-term issuer credit rating, with a stable outlook, on Vision Banco S.A.E.C.A.
The rating reflects the Paraguay-based bank's leading market position and strong microfinance expertise, weak capital and earnings. weaker-than-average asset quality, diversified and stable deposit base and adequate liquidity.
Meanwhile, the stable outlook reflects S&P's view that the bank's asset quality metrics will remain stable, while profitability and capitalization gradually improve. However, S&P expects the risk-adjusted capital ratio to remain below 5% for the next two years.
