E'grand fiscal Q4 profit climbs 55.2% YOY

e'grand Co.Ltd said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 came to ¥31.99 per share, a gain of 54.0% from ¥20.78 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥205.6 million, a gain of 55.2% from ¥132.5 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 3.8% from 3.1% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed 26.5% on an annual basis to ¥5.41 billion from ¥4.27 billion, and total operating expenses grew 25.6% from the prior-year period to ¥5.03 billion from ¥4.00 billion.

Reported net income rose 59.7% on an annual basis to ¥230.0 million, or ¥35.78 per share, from ¥144.0 million, or ¥22.58 per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥86.16 per share, a gain of 28.0% from ¥67.29 per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was ¥553.1 million, a rise of 28.8% from ¥429.4 million in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue rose 10.7% from the prior-year period to ¥17.05 billion from ¥15.40 billion, and total operating expenses grew 9.9% on an annual basis to ¥15.95 billion from ¥14.51 billion.

The company said reported net income grew year over year to ¥1.00 billion, or ¥156.23 per share, in the full year, from ¥499.0 million, or ¥78.20 per share.
