Ta Yih Industrial profit misses consensus by 47.8% in Q4

4914565 said its normalized net income for the fourth quarter amounted to 76 Taiwan cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of NT$1.46 per share.

EPS declined 12.1% year over year from 87 cents.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was NT$58.2 million, a decline of 12.0% from NT$66.2 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin fell to 4.1% from 5.0% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew 8.9% year over year to NT$1.43 billion from NT$1.31 billion, and total operating expenses rose 10.7% on an annual basis to NT$1.36 billion from NT$1.23 billion.

Reported net income decreased 11.3% on an annual basis to NT$77.2 million, or NT$1.01 per share, from NT$87.0 million, or NT$1.14 per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled NT$4.37 per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus normalized EPS estimate of NT$6.34.

EPS rose 18.0% from NT$3.70 in the prior year.

Normalized net income was NT$333.5 million, an increase of 18.0% from NT$282.6 million in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue increased 15.5% on an annual basis to NT$5.73 billion from NT$4.96 billion, and total operating expenses grew 15.6% year over year to NT$5.29 billion from NT$4.57 billion.

The company said reported net income increased 20.7% year over year to NT$449.5 million, or NT$5.89 per share, in the full year, from NT$372.3 million, or NT$4.88 per share.
