Allianz's specialist corporate insurance unit names new COO

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE made several changes to its management board, including naming Bettina Dietsche its new COO.

Dietsche, currently head of group operations at parent Allianz Group, will join the specialist corporate insurer April 1, 2018, to succeed COO Sinéad Browne, who will move over to a new board-level role from July 1, 2018.

Browne will take over from Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty's chief regions and markets officer, Carsten Scheffel, who will retire at the end of June 2018. She will oversee ACGS Regional Unit London, including the U.K., Ireland, the Nordics, Russia, Dubai and Australia, as well as Asia and South America.

In addition, Chief Claims Officer Alexander Mack will retire June 30, 2018. Philipp Cremer will take on the non-board-level role of global head of claims, reporting to Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty CEO Chris Fischer Hirs.
