U.S. President-elect Donald Trump said during a rally in Grand Rapids, Mich., that he intends to name Dow Chemical Co. Chairman and CEO Andrew Liveris head of the Manufacturing Council, Reuters reported Dec. 9.

Liveris has accepted the appointment at the council, which is a private sector group advising the U.S. secretary of commerce.
