Vital Metals stops exploration work in Burkina Faso on security concerns

Vital Metals Ltd. said March 22 that it suspended exploration activities in Burkina Faso due to ongoing security concerns in the country where its Nahouri gold project is located.

The Australian explorer said it received interest from other companies for exploration data on its tenements there, and it will progress these approaches as it monitors the situation.

In December 2018, the president of Burkina Faso declared a state of emergency in several northern provinces after terrorist attacks. It is expected to remain in place until July.
