Patricia Bellinger resigned from Pattern Energy Group Inc.'s board of directors due to the time constraints of a new role at Harvard University.

The company appointed Mona Sutphen and Richard Goodman as independent directors, according to a Dec. 31 news release. Sutphen was most recently a partner at Macro Advisory Partners LLP. Goodman was CFO of PepsiCo Inc. from 2006 to 2010, after which he was executive vice president of global operations through 2011.

Pattern Energy's board is now comprised of seven directors, six of whom are independent.
