FrontierCommunications Corp. completed its $10.54 billion of 's locallandline assets, operations and businesses in California, Florida and Texas.
The acquired businesses include about 3.3 million voice connections,2.1 million broadband connections and 1.2 million FiOS video subscribers, as wellas the related incumbent local exchange carrier businesses, according to anApril 1 news release. New customers will begin receiving monthly bills startingin mid-April.
The transaction does not include the services, offerings orassets of other Verizon businesses, such as Verizon Wireless and Verizon Enterprise Solutions.
About 9,400 Verizon employees, who served customers inCalifornia, Florida and Texas, will also join Frontier as part of thetransaction.
