Report: Inmobiliara Colonial board to consider moving HQ out of Catalonia

Inmobiliaria Colonial SA has called a board meeting Oct. 9 to discuss moving its head office out of Catalonia after the northeastern Spanish region recently held a referendum on independence, Reuters reported, citing a source close to the firm.

The company, headquartered in Barcelona, joins a number of other companies that have decided or are considering moving their head offices from the region to other cities after the referendum, the news outlet noted.

Reuters noted that Spanish authorities declared the Oct. 1 referendum illegal.
