Global Metals acquires Irish zinc projects, changes name to Zinc of Ireland

Global MetalsExploration NL has completed the acquisition of , andchanged the company name to Zinc of Ireland NL.

The company entered the acquisition deal in mid-March, which includes seven zincprojects in Ireland with an area of about 750 square kilometers.

As part of the deal, Zinc of Ireland raised about A$1.4million, and expects to raise a total of A$2.2 million after acceptingoversubscriptions.

The company has appointed Patrick Corr as a nonexecutivedirector and Benjamin Sharp as technical director, it said July 22.

The company plans to conduct 1,000 meters of initial diamonddrilling at the Kildare project, with mobilization activities starting in earlyAugust, to test significant historic mineralization.
