TMAC Resources Inc. said Aug. 10 it appointed Gil Lawson as COO, effective Aug. 31, as the company continues ramp up to full production at its Hope Bay gold project in Canada's Nunavut territory.

Lawson has over 31 years of mining experience and previously managed the startup operations of Goldcorp Inc.'s Musselwhite gold mine in Ontario and De Beers SA's Snap Lake diamond mine in Northwest Territories, Canada.
