PNE PCB fiscal Q2 profit falls YOY

PNE PCB Bhd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended March 31 was 71,250 ringgits, a decline of 72.5% from 258,750 ringgits in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

The normalized profit margin declined to 0.3% from 1.4% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 22.2% year over year to 22.3 million ringgits from 18.2 million ringgits, and total operating expenses increased 24.3% from the prior-year period to 22.2 million ringgits from 17.8 million ringgits.

Reported net income decreased 73.9% from the prior-year period to 107,000 ringgits, or 0 sen per share, from 410,000 ringgits, or 0 sen per share.

As of May 27, US$1 was equivalent to 4.08 ringgits.
