Apollo Food Holdings fiscal Q3 profit climbs YOY

Apollo Food Holdings Bhd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Jan. 31 was 9 Malaysian sen per share, compared with 9 sen per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 7.4 million ringgits, compared with 7.4 million ringgits in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin fell to 13.0% from 13.3% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose year over year to 57.1 million ringgits from 55.6 million ringgits, and total operating expenses grew on an annual basis to 46.3 million ringgits from 44.8 million ringgits.

Reported net income declined 9.3% on an annual basis to 8.2 million ringgits, or 10 sen per share, from 9.1 million ringgits, or 11 sen per share.

As of March 30, US$1 was equivalent to 3.71 ringgits.
