CME Group unit secures approval for Dutch trading platforms

CME Group Inc. said March 12 that its newly established unit CME Amsterdam BV secured approval from the Dutch finance ministry to operate trading platforms in Amsterdam.

The move will avoid Brexit-related disruptions.

CME intends to move its BrokerTec and EBS units to the Netherlands-based entity. The group also said it will move European government bond trading and European repo agreements to Amsterdam from London.
