SK Holdings Q3 profit climbs 70.6% YOY

SK Holdings Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the third quarter amounted to 4,919.82 South Korean won per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 5,781.00 won per share.

EPS rose 70.8% year over year from 2,879.99 won.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 274.95 billion won, a gain of 70.6% from 161.13 billion won in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 1.2% from 0.8% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed 18.9% year over year to 23.763 trillion won from 19.978 trillion won, and total operating expenses rose 16.2% from the prior-year period to 22.144 trillion won from 19.057 trillion won.

Reported net income increased 69.4% year over year to 456.67 billion won, or 8,171.38 won per share, from 269.51 billion won, or 4,817.23 won per share.

As of Nov. 14, US$1 was equivalent to 1,114.97 South Korean won.
