Kameda Seika Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, came to ¥66.45 per share, a gain of 24.4% from ¥53.41 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥1.40 billion, a gain of 24.4% from ¥1.13 billion in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 5.3% from 4.4% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased on an annual basis to ¥26.25 billion from ¥25.51 billion, and total operating expenses came to ¥24.31 billion, compared with ¥24.10 billion in the year-earlier period.
Reported net income grew 25.4% year over year to ¥1.31 billion, or ¥62.13 per share, from ¥1.04 billion, or ¥49.56 per share.
As of Feb. 13, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.68.
