Quotient reshuffles top management

Steven Boal will step down as CEO of Quotient Technology Inc. and will become executive chairman of the company, effective Sept. 1.

Mir Aamir, currently president and COO, will succeed Boal as the company's new chief executive. Boal’s transition from CEO to executive chairman is not the result of any "material disagreement with the company regarding its operations, policies or practices." Quotient Technology said Aug. 1.

"This is the right time for me to hand over the CEO role while I continue to focus on some key strategic initiatives," Boal said in a statement. Boal has served as CEO and as a member of the board since 1998, and as chairman of the board since February 2017.

The company also appointed David Oppenheimer as a director, effective July 31. Oppenheimer, who is the CFO of Planet Labs Inc., will also serve on the audit committee.
