Technology Metals posts 1st resources for Southern Tenement at Gabanintha

Technology Metals Australia Ltd. announced an initial resource estimate for the Southern Tenement area of its Gabanintha property in Western Australia, which hosts inferred resources of 21.5 million tonnes at 0.9% vanadium oxide, or V2O5, and 10.1% titanium dioxide, or TiO2.

The company said in its Dec. 18 release that the resource includes a high-grade area of 10.4 million tonnes at 1.1% V2O5 and 12.6% TiO2.

The estimate uses cutoffs of 0.9% V2O5 for the high-grade, massive magnetite zone and 0.4% V2O5 for banded and disseminated magnetite zones and incorporates data from a recent 23-hole reverse circulation drill program.

In June, Technology Metals posted initial resources for the Northern Block of tenements at Gabanintha outlining inferred resources of 62.8 million tonnes at 0.8% V2O5 and 9.7% TiO2.

The company is also working on an updated estimate for the Northern Block using data from recently completed drilling as well as density measurements from diamond drilling, aiming to deliver a global resource estimate for the project, which combines the two blocks.

Resource upgrade work and metallurgical testing will form the basis of a pre-feasibility study on Gabanintha, which is scheduled to begin by the end of the year.
