Denver apartment complex changes hands for $142M

BMC Investments sold its 12-story Steele Creek apartment complex in Cherry Creek North, Denver, to an unnamed buyer for $141.5 million, the Denver Business Journal reported.

The complex, at Denver's 3222 E. First Ave., houses 218 apartments, a business center, recreational areas and a fitness center, among other amenities, as well as 8,000 square feet of retail space occupied by tenants including Matsuhisa Restaurant, Drybar and AT&T.

The asset sold for $649,082 per unit, marking a historically high per-unit price in the city, according to the Oct. 10 report.
