Chesapeake Energy independent director resigns from board

ChesapeakeEnergy Corp. in a Form 8-K filed April 1 said Frederic Poses hasinformed the company's board of directors that he will not be standing forre-election at the 2016 annual meeting of shareholders.

Poses' decision was not due to any disagreement with thecompany, according to the filing.

Poses has served as Chesapeake's independent director sinceJune 2012 and currently serves as a member of its finance committee as well asthe nominating, governance, and social responsibility committee.
