Episil Holding Inc. said its first-quarter normalized net income came to a loss of 45 Taiwan cents per share, compared with a loss of 36 cents per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of NT$73.1 million, compared with a loss of NT$57.8 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin declined to negative 7.1% from negative 7.1% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased 26.9% on an annual basis to NT$1.03 billion from NT$810.8 million, and total operating expenses grew 25.1% year over year to NT$1.12 billion from NT$899.3 million.
Reported net income came to a loss of NT$113.1 million, or a loss of 70 cents per share, compared to a loss of NT$94.0 million, or a loss of 58 cents per share, in the year-earlier period.
As of May 16, US$1 was equivalent to NT$32.63.
