ETP launches binding expansion open season for Bakken oil pipeline

Energy Transfer Partners LP units Dakota Access LLC and Energy Transfer Crude Oil Co. LLC commenced a binding expansion open season to solicit shipper commitments for expanded joint tariff transportation service from the Bakken/Three Forks play in North Dakota to storage terminals in Nederland, Texas, through their respective pipeline systems.

Incremental oil capacity on the Bakken Pipeline System will be based on committed subscriptions made by shippers during the open season, according to a March 1 news release.

The 1,915-mile, mostly 30-inch Bakken Pipeline System went into service June 1, 2017, and is operated by a wholly owned subsidiary of Energy Transfer Partners.
