Desert Gold Ventures Inc. renewed its mining permit for its Djimbala gold operation in western Mali, according to a Jan. 20 release.

The permit is now valid until Dec. 21, 2018.

Djimbala, situated in the Yanfolila gold belt, 30 kilometers north of the Kordieran project, is in an area that hosts regional-scale fundamental structures, which are essential in the formation of gold deposits in West Africa.
