Deutsche Bank global transaction banking chief to take Asia-Pacific CEO role

Deutsche BankAG plans to name Werner Steinmueller CEO of Asia-Pacific.

Pending supervisory board and regulatory approval,Steinmueller will become a part of the bank's management board and will move toHong Kong in the autumn. He has served as head of globaltransaction banking since 2004 and will remain chairman of 's supervisoryboard.

John Gibbons will succeed Steinmueller as head of globaltransaction banking. Gibbons was most recently regional executive for Europe,the Middle East and Africa and global head of banks and broker/dealers forJPMorgan Chase &Co.'s treasury services. Gibbons, who is expected to join DeutscheBank in October, will be based in London and will report to Jeff Urwin, head ofcorporate and investment banking.
