Hanatour Service Inc. said its first-quarter normalized net income came to 939.44 South Korean won per share, an increase of 77.9% from 528.10 won per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 10.38 billion won, a gain of 71.5% from 6.05 billion won in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 8.8% from 6.5% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose 26.1% on an annual basis to 118.18 billion won from 93.69 billion won, and total operating expenses rose 19.9% on an annual basis to 101.38 billion won from 84.57 billion won.
Reported net income rose 58.9% on an annual basis to 12.07 billion won, or 1,092.00 won per share, from 7.60 billion won, or 662.77 won per share.
As of May 15, US$1 was equivalent to 1,083.65 South Korean won.
